Yes but did Abe acutally fight the prince?

But you do make a valid point.

I'll tip my hat, just this once.

Of course you have to come in here and cause trouble! Okay, I will humor you. So let's say the temper part was factored in. I still think it could have been better penciled into the script. For one, when the main character is pulled aside for a quiet moment with another character, in which his fatal flaws are discussed, you would think they would have a final face-off or at least a series of events in which he displays such a weakness, or he attempts to conquer the weakness. Nowhere in the movie did I see this happen.

The first encounter with the prince wasn't exactly a display of this flaw. He was drunk (and so was Abe, so it's not like he was singled out), so I wouldn't say that they made particular mention of it during this scene.

In the second and final encounter, I would have liked to have seen Hellboy lose face a little bit with the Prince. I wanted the Prince to beat the crap out of Hellboy, so that we could see him actually lose his temper, and then recover in order to win. Instead, we had a pretty blah fight scene, and we never even really felt like Hellboy would lose because of his temper.

I don't know if I am explaining this right, but I feel like it would have been a much better movie had they expounded on the temper much better.

One could argue, cause you know I enjoy to argue that the whole temper was factored in. During Hellboy's first fight with the prince he was drunk and also angered at the fact he stormed in yadda yadda..and obviously lost that fight.

Second encounter, he was back to his joking self, was cool, calm, and collective throughout the whole fight.

That demon, is the Angel of Death....wouldn't really call it a demon.

And since well, it's all about the arguement, I thought the one creature who wouldn't let the prince enter the kingdom looked more like Hand-Eye critter...but that's just me.

I'll bother you here again next month.
