I’ve been Toro’d

February 4, 2007 · No Comments

Pan’s Labyrinth is by far the best foreign film I’ve seen since, oh I dunno, forever.

Guillermo del Toro crafts a fantastic masterpiece with an original plot and fascinating visual effects. The story is about a little girl finding herself in the middle of a civil war in Spain and having to cope with all the violence and stress that comes with war. Her means of escape? A majestic world of fantasy. Not only was the film visually exciting, but the intensity of the plot and the hypnotic soundtrack added to that overall atmosphere of magic. Excellent film. Something I recommend for all to see.
